문학·영화·드라마·공연 등을 포함하는 포괄적인 문화 영역을 대상으로 하는 현대 문화 비평의 동향을 탐색하고, 그 이론적 준거 및 실제적 기술을 검토함으로써 한국 현대 문화 전반에 대한 비평적 안목을 배양하고, 이를 기반으로 작품성과 대중성을 겸비한 새로운 작품 창작의 가능성을 모색한다.
