각 신체 장기별, 진단별로 특이적으로 효과를 보이는 약물개개의 작용기전, 흡수, 분포, 대사, 배설 및 임상응용에 관한 지견을 얻는 것을 목적으로 약물상호작용, 약물선택 및 용량개별화와 처방방법도 포함된다. 또한 실험을 통하여 기본적 이론을 적용할 수 있는 기회를 갖는다.
