After successful attendance the students will acquire the instruments to describe peculiar quantum phenomena in nanoscale systems. In particular they will be introduced to the basic mechanisms of charge migration at the nanoscale ranging from (bio)chemical charge transfer processes till transport phenomena through molecular to mesoscopic devices.
