I met a professor of Large Animal Medicine from the College of Veterinary Medicine – he had been building computer animations to teach veterinarians in training about disease in horses. I wanted to do something like this for teachers and students of biology in secondary schools. My interest was in the power of the visual representation and not in the curriculum.
