ICT can be a really useful tool for helping pupils develop mental images of abstract topics in numeracy, as primary maths consultant Darren Ellsum tells us in introducing this programme. In the first of two lessons, year 4 teacher Paul Greenwood uses a free online game to introduce writing fractions as decimals. In the second lesson, year 6 teacher Friedel Kotze uses interactive slides to demonstrate rotational symmetry.
