The objective for this course is to introduce the two great theories that are fundamental to all Modern Physics: special relativity and quantum mechanics. I will spend over half the course developing an understanding of the basic observations and experiments that led to development of these theories in the early part of the 20th century. In the latter part of the course, I will concentrate on applications of quantum physics.
