수업내용(Summary)20세기 이전 한국인의 일생의례, 자연의례, 세시의례와 그 변화를 살펴본다. 의례는 한국인의 우주관을 들여다보는 창으로서, 의례를 통하여 한국인이 죽음과 혈연, 비인간 존재, 공간과 시간을 어떻게 상상해왔는지를 탐구할 수 있다. 이에 따라 다양한 의례와 그 기반이 된 신앙을 학습하며, 한국인의 가족과 친족 문화, 공간과 자연과 시간 대한 믿음을 이해한다. 이를 통해 수강생들은 20세기 이후 크게 변화했지만 여전히 현대 일상생활에 남아 있는 의례와 신앙의 상징적 의미와 기원을 깨달을 수 있을 것이다.This course examines the life rituals, natural rituals, ceremonies, and changes of Koreans before the 20th century. The ritual is a window into the Korean view of the universe, and through the ritual, one can explore how Koreans have imagined death, blood ties, non-human beings, space, and time. Accordingly, students will learn various rituals and corresponding beliefs and understand Koreans' family and relatives' culture, space, nature, and time.
