What happens when planet business and planet education collide? Headteacher Pamela Hutchinson is facing the biggest challenge of her career: keeping a happy ship while her school is being shut to make way for a City Academy. When no-one from the head down knows whether he or she will have a job in the new academy, staff well-being is hard to achieve. We bring in Jo Owen, leadership expert and troubleshooter, to advise. He can only promise them a Valley of Death - a transition curve every organisation has to go through, but which he believes could hold the key to staff morale.
