Course Description Course contents/objectives Although artificial intelligence is increasingly becoming an integral part of the devices that people use today, from smart phones and wearables to smart household appliance and self-driving cars, there seems to be a widespread lack of basic understanding of AI systems. Such machines are not only transforming the everyday tasks and decisions of people, but also, raising important far-reaching questions for individuals, society, the economy, and governance. This class will attempt to examine some of these questions by introducing various implications of AI systems.
