Students will learn the key concepts, applications, and perspectives of the new emerging area, nanobiotechnology. It is a young and rapidly evolving field which combines advances in biotechnology and nanoscience. The course will cover the current and future examples of nanobioengineering and related fundamental concepts such as intermolecular forces, surfaces, quantum mechanics, reaction kinetics, fabrication methods, and scaling issues.
