본 교과에서는 지속가능한 환경설계를 위해 Design With Nataure(1969,McHarg)와 GeoDesign의 신개념을 이해하고 GPS를 통한 환경자료의 수집과 GIS에서의 응용, Web에서 인공위성 영상의 활용 및My map만들기 등을 실습한다. 이러한 개별적인 기술들이 GeoDesign을 통해 종합적 개념으로 정리되도록 한다. 기존의 조경계획 및 설계체계가 전산기술을 통해 향후 얼마나 달라지며 더 발전된 환경에서 역량을 발휘할수 있도록 한다. 영어원서의 독해를 통한 발표자료의 준비, 영어발표의 동영상 청취 및 해석을 통해 영어능력을 동시에 배양하도록 한다.
