>지구촌 전체가 하나로 묶여가고 있는 21세기에 영어가 개인과 국가의 경쟁력을 확보하는데 필수적인 요소이며 이데 따른 세계 영어교육의 기준은 한가지 종류의 패권국 영어나 자국기준의 영어가 아니라 다양한 형태의 세계 영어가 되어야 한다. 본 강의에서는 이와 같은 세계 영어를 있는 그대로 학습자들에게 제공하여 익히게 함으로써 졸업후 세계의 어떤 상대와도 거부감 없이 의사소통을 하기 위한 노력을 할 수 있도록 하는데 있다. 중등교육 학력을 가진 사람이면 누구나 접근할 수 있도록 어휘와 내용이 선정되어 이 과목을 학습한 사람들은 21세기 글로벌사회에서 기초적인 경쟁력을 갖출 수 있을 것으로 예상된다

차시별 강의

1.	Course Introduction	We live in a globalizing world, and English has become a necessary means of raising the competitiveness of individuals and of nations. In this regard, English needs to be regarded as a global language, rather than a U.S. standard. This course teaches students English as a Global Language, in order to give them the ability to communicate with the global community after graduation. The course is relatively easy for students with a moderate amount of previous study in English. Graduates of this course are expected to be able to secure competitiveness in the global society
2.	Australian English	We live in a globalizing world, and English has become a necessary means of raising the competitiveness of individuals and of nations. In this regard, English needs to be regarded as a global language, rather than a U.S. standard. This course teaches students English as a Global Language, in order to give them the ability to communicate with the global community after graduation. The course is relatively easy for students with a moderate amount of previous study in English. Graduates of this course are expected to be able to secure competitiveness in the global society
3.	New Zealand English	We live in a globalizing world, and English has become a necessary means of raising the competitiveness of individuals and of nations. In this regard, English needs to be regarded as a global language, rather than a U.S. standard.
