Primary teacher and ICT co-ordinator Chris Thomas explains that a wiki is a website that can be changed and added to by a community of users. He provides a step by step guide beginning with creating an account on a wiki website which offers free educational use to setting up the wiki page and choosing the most appropriate permissions level for school use. He uses as an example a wiki for a project about animal habitats: different groups of children can research the topic and contribute to the same web page.
