The purpose of this course is to develop students understanding of the importance of transport within the supply chains of companies. It builds on the students’ knowledge gained in the Transport Operations course. The emphasis will be focused on the role and impact of packaging and transport on the flow of goods within supply chains and the importance of information. The course will make extensive use of case studies to illustrate concepts and will equip students with an applied knowledge of the importance of logistics in the supply chain strategies of firms.
