This course will provide students with a basic understanding of principles and applications of controlled drug delivery systems. To this end, it will focus on topics including physicochemical and biological barriers, drug delivery pathways, metabolism, drug formulation, pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic issues. It will expand the coverage to reflect latest updates and advances in materials for delivery vehicles, drug delivery approaches, and therapeutics.
