One teacher, one class, one term. For 3 months we've had unique access to follow Reuben Moore - History teacher - as he teaches his year 7 class across the whole Spring term. From the big issues of planning for progression, through to developing good history questions and the nitty-gritty of delivering personalised learning, we reveal how he deals with the demands faced by the modern-day History teacher. In this, the first of four programmes, Chris Culpin, History consultant, visits Lampton School, West London to meet Reuben and the department. They explore the topic of planning for progression, discussing coherence and identifying themes across schemes of work, as well as the challenge of balancing skills and knowledge development. Although specifically tailored for secondary History teachers, many of the issues that arise from Reuben's story will interest teachers of all subjects and age-groups.
