With his mum, brother and his little sister, Alex visits a farm for the first time on his seventh birthday. He's excited to be going to a real farm and can't wait to see all his favourite animals. In this three-part programme, Alex encounters a sow called Beatty who is not like his toy pigs at home. He and his brother meet a group of lambs which are like each other in some respects but different from each other in others, and Alex and his brother are set the task of planting geraniums. Each part of the programme illustrates a key concept in science at Key Stage 1.
