At Litcham High School in Norfolk, David Allen is business manager of a cluster of primaries centred around one secondary school. He was appointed as a part of a pilot scheme pioneered by the National College, and so far he thinks he has made around £90,000 in savings for his school. David also explains how he takes charge of many of the projects that primary headteachers would otherwise be obliged to taker charge of, and this allows them time to concentrate on the teaching and learning which is so important to a child?s personal development.
