Troedyrhiw Infant School is a pilot school for the new Foundation Phase. This programme looks at how they are encouraging mathematical development in their nursery and reception classes. Teachers Rebecca Fowler and Claire Lloyd have set out lots of different maths activities inside and outside the classroom. The focus is on learning through play and experiential learning. This programme features parents' reactions to the Foundation Phase. Headteacher Gail Rees says that parents have been very positive.
