What does fashion have to do with statistics? Mathagony Aunt visits Carnaby Street to discover the connection. She visits a fashionable boutique and talks to the owner. She discovers that there is a common size ratio for clothes sizes that is in the ratio of 1:2: 2:1. Students at Vyners school look at clothes sizes and shoe sizes and decide which average is useful. Would the mode or median be useful in ordering stock? What do these averages reveal?
