Differentiation is considered one of the most effective strategies for supporting the learning of students with a variety of learning needs in mixed ability classrooms. In this programme Christine Harrison, an expert on assessment for learning and co-author of 'Inside the Black Box', takes us through the 3 key elements of differentiation, namely by task, by outcome and by support. These approaches are seen being applied in two mixed ability classes, one in Devon and the other in Worcester.
