This course covers historical development of major teaching approaches and methods, effective teaching techniques and strategies, and reflective practices of teaching English to various learners. Accordingly, this course is designed for those who are preparing for teacher certification exams, for teaching jobs after graduation, and for advanced studies in English education, TESOL, and other related majors. In this course, students will engage in extensive and intensive readings of relevant literature, class observations, micro-teaching practices, and other related activities. In doing so, it is expected that students gain valuable knowledge and skills in teaching EFL and become more reflective on why they do with students in the classroom in the future.
