Critical thinking makes the difference between keeping patients safe and putting them in harms way. Nursing students has the need to use evidence-based approaches to improve critical thinking.

This two-semester credit hour lecture is designed to prepare future nurses with a solid knowledge base and skill of critical thinking principles. Using an engaging style and giving students the latest evidence on improving thinking, this course will give students the language and tools they need to move from buzzwords of critical thinking to specifics. To optimize the function of thinking process and decision making in nursing, the concept and application methods of critical thinking and nursing issues will be addressed.
