리튬이온배터리와 연료전지 개발에 활용되고 있는 다양한 종류의 재료들에 대해 소개한다. 또한 리튬배터리와 연료전지 기술 발전에 현재 가장 적합한 것으로 간주되는 전극과 전해질 소재의 특성에 대해 다루며 이러한 물질의 결과를 향상시키는 다양한 접근방법과 연구에 필요한 실험기법등에 대해 배운다.
