뇌인지과학과의 석박사과정으로 입학한 1년차 대학원 학생들 및 기타 관련분야 대학원생 및 학부 고학년들을 대상으로 뇌인지과학의 기본 원리를 주요 연구 주제들 및 기초이론을 중심으로 소개하는 과목. 뇌인지과학과 석박사과정생이 반드시 이수해야 하는 공통필수과목으로 <뇌인지과학의 방법>과 긴밀히 연결된 과목.
