본 과목에서는 웹에서 기본이 되는 기술적 요소를 다루도록 한다. 오늘날의 웹은 다양한 방법으로 활용되고 있으며 그에 따른 복잡도 및 변화의 속도가 만만치 않다. 본 과목은 비 록 세미나 과목은 아니지만 끊임없이 변화하는 웹의 발전속에서도 핵심 패러다임과 기술을 찾아내어 교육하고, 교과 내용을 꾸준히 개선해나가도록 한다. 강의 내용은 웹 아키텍쳐에 대한 개론과 분산 컴퓨팅 모델, 서비스 및 프로토콜을 다루도록 한다.
