This course aims to provide the overview of Korea’s long and rich History, especially from ancient era to early 19th century, for the freshman whose major is History and for the exchange students from all around the world who don’t have any basic knowledge of the Korean History. The students will learn and study various historical facts, cultures, and perspectives on the Korean History; the brief history of Korean Kingdoms and Dynasties such as Old Joseon, the Three Kingdoms, Unified Silla, Goryeo, Joseon. Based on such historical facts, students will make sure how Korean people have developed their civilization and uniqueness.

No special knowledge of Korean history is required.
