This course serves as a through introduction to the Unix operationg system. In is intended for students who want to learn the nuts and bolts of Unix operation system. Unix represent the operating system technology underlying many of the services of the internet. This subject introduces students to Unix. Students will learn the core utilities to work productively in an Unix environment. Students will do this work using the terminal of Unix, at the same time learn to configure their login accounts, multipulate data stored in files, effectively use Unix commands and utilites, and write simple shell scripts.
