Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) play an essential role in supporting daily life in todays digital society. They are used everywhere now and play an important role in the delivery of better and more efficient healthcare services. The objective of this course is to learn how ICTs are helping you, doctors, pharmacists and hospitals to take better care of your health.
Students taking this course will be guided in their understanding of selective e-Health & m-Health service managing and underlying ICT trends, research and innovations, including the ability to review, identify and critically analyze strengths-weaknesses of varying emerging e-Health ICTs.
Uponcompletion of this course, students will be able to do the following key tasks:
- Perform state-of-the-art reviews of key concepts/theories applicable to the design and the management of efficient, secure and flexible e-/m-healthcare services and underlying ICT;
- Generate new ideas about future e-Health & m-Health innovations, research and practices
- Learn to assemble a “conference paper” for submission to an academic conference.
