This advanced undergraduate EMC course covers all topics in human development and learning that have high relevance to the K-12 school years. Its ives are to promote a deep understanding of children’s and adolescents’ development and learning and to help students taking the course develop themselves as teachers who can meet the developmental and learning needs of their future students. The first half of the course focuses on learning and cognitive development, while the second half of the course focuses on socio-emotional development and student projects.
