본 교과목은 근로자, 산업현장 및 기업조직에 대한 과핮거 연구를 중심으로 하고 있다. 산업심리학은 조직의 성과향상과 구성원의 복지증진을 추구함으로써 기업조직의 성공적 경영에 기여하고자 하는 연구목적을 가지고 있다. 또한 산업심리학에서는 어떻게 구성원의 행동과 태도가 개선될 수 있는가를 여러가지 제도의 기법을 통하여 연구하고 분석한다. 인접학문으로는 조직행동과 인적자원관리가 해당된다.
