현대세계사에 대한 일방적인 강의가 아니라 담당교수(김형률)가 매일 업데이트하고 있는 동시대사 http://www.penguinstep.net/openmoney/ 에 대한 자료를 기초로 학생들 각자가 현재 세상 곳곳에서 일어나고 있는 일들을 관찰하면서 인터넷속에서 영어로 된 각종 자료찾는 방법을 읽힌후 각자 흥미있는 주제를 선택하여 리서치를 해가면서 과정발표와 토론을 통해 수업중 연구과정에 대한 맞춤 개인지도를 받아가면서 학생 한명 한명이 스스로 영어로된 1차자료들을 찾아 비판적 시각으로 자신의 주제에 대한 역사연구를 실천해 본다.
