인도의 국왕과 불교 관계, 경전의 호국 및 호법 개념, 동아시아의 국가와 불교 및 왕즉불, 고대부터 현대까지 한국사에 나타난 국가와 불교의 관계를 통제와 활용, 지원과 역할 등 여러 측면에서 살펴봅니다.
이 강좌를 통해 우리는 역사 속에서 국가권력과 불교의 메커니즘이 어떻게 작동해 왔는지를 이해하고 정치와 종교의 관계를 생각해볼 수 있습니다.

The purpose of this course is to understand he relation between the state power and Buddhism.
First, this course will be on overview of the relationship between the kings and Buddhism in India and East Asia.
Learners will also understand the mechanism of power and Buddhism in Korean Buddhist history from the Three Kingdoms Period to the present.
In this course, you will learn how Buddhism, the supramundane world, and real political power have coexisted through the Dharma protection, which preserves Buddhist teachings, and the state's protection of the country.
