This course is about poverty, inequality, and development cooperation. After going over how those topics are closely connected to each other (e.g. poverty is linked to inequality through growth where we can find a rationale of development cooperation), this course examines each topic separately, in depth, including theories, measurements, and applications. Class lectures, online discussions and quizzes, and interviews of several experts will be provided and students are expected to read several book chapters and journal articles throughout the course.
