This course is an introduction to the concepts, principles, problems, and practices of operations management. Emphasis is on managerial processes for effective operations in both goods-producing and service-rendering organization. Topics include operations strategy, process design, capacity planning, facilities location and design, forecasting, production scheduling, inventory control, quality assurance, and project management. The topics are integrated using a systems model of the operations of an organization.

차시별 강의

1.	Operations Productivity and Strategy	This unit explores how companies need to plan their operations in order to be more effective.
2.	Productivity Example	This examples shows how companies can save resources by planning adequately their output.
3.	Project Management 1	This unit deals with the planning of projects , implementation and review.
4.	Project Management 2	This unit deals with the planning of projects , implementation and review.
5.	Design of Goods and Services	This unit will explore how companies need to design their goods and services in order to be produced in the most effective way.
6.	Pareto Chart Example	This unit exemplifies how with Pareto charts many problems can be solved with less resources.
7.	Process Strategy	This unit will identify the different process to produce products or services most effectively.
8.	Location and Layout Strategies	This unit will discuss how location may affect the different operations.
9.	Labor Planning	This unit will display how employees are a critical part of the operation and how to plan for using those HR.
10.	Inventory Management and Supply Chain	This unit deals with the planning of supplies and their inventory.
11.	Aggregate Planning	This unit explores aggregate planning.
12.	ERP and MRP	This unit explains how different softwares are used for managing and planning resources.
13.	Lean Operations	This unit shows how to make operations more effective by removing activities that generate waste of resources.
