Clifton School are enhancing their citizenship curriculum by working with outside organisations that use their real-life knowledge and expertise to provide an exciting and memorable experience for pupils. Follow the events on a Crime and Safety Awareness Day organised by the Prison Trust where relevant agencies deliver a variety of workshops to Year 8 at the school. Three workshops from the prison service give pupils a realistic view of prison life. There's an interactive role play on the consequences of antisocial behaviour and the Youth Offending Service raise awareness of the legality of certain activities. The programme will be useful for all teachers working with the citizenship curriculum and wanting to make the most of working with outside agencies.
