이 강좌는 Scripps research institute에서 수행되었던 강좌를 모델로 하여 최근 발표된 면역학 분야의 중요 논문에 대한 토의로서 이루어진다. 토의는 강좌 참여 학생 및 관련 분야 지식을 충분히 가진 참여 교수 등에 의해 수행된다, 일련의 토의 논문들은 T 세포를 중심으로 하여 아래와 같은 면역학의 많은 분야에 걸쳐 다루어진다. 생체 방어, 면역 세포 발달, 선천성 면역, 면역 인식, 면역 관용 및 기억, 백혈구 신호 전달, 바이러스, 세균, 면역 회피 및 면역 관련 질환 등.
