글로벌화와 디지털화로 급변하는 기업 환경속에서 기업은 경쟁우위를 확보하고 유지하기 위해 전략적인 노력을 경주하고 있음. 이러한 강도 높은 경쟁환경 속에서 현대 기업들은 인적자원을 경쟁력의 원천으로 인식하고 있음. 이러한 인식은 지식에 의한 부가가치 창출이 기본 생산요소를 능가하고 지식경영과 노동은 효과적인 인적자원 관리에서 비롯된다는 인식에 근본적인 토대를 가지고 있음. 이에 본 교과목은 경영학 전공학생들로 하여금 인적자원관리의 중요성을 이해케 하고 인적자원관리와 관련된 기능 즉, 직무관리, 고용관리, 성과관리, 보상관리, 개발관리, 근로조건관리, 노사관계관리 등을 학습토록 하여 경쟁력 있는 경영자의 자질과 능력을 배양케 함.
