Abstract:
Students who have just learned beginner's level grammar will pick up communication skills in certain situations based on grammar and sentence patterns. When we need to ask a favor or refuse to do something, a literal translation may cause unnecessary misunderstanding. Students will practice how Japanese talk with one another and the flow in the conversation.
There are lots of different ways of expressing refusal, so the students will learn how to express refusal depending on the situation and the listener.
